HOUSE SYSTEM

House System at LIS Dehradun

At LIS DEHRADUN, we implement a House System to promote healthy competition, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging among our students. The school is divided into four houses, each with its unique identity and color: Jal, Agni, Surya, and Hariyali. This system fosters a spirit of camaraderie and encourages students to participate in various inter-house competitions such as sports events, debates, quizzes, and cultural activities, where houses compete for points. These competitions not only drive academic and extracurricular engagement but also enhance collaboration among students.

The House System also provides valuable leadership opportunities. House Captains, Vice-Captains, and Prefects take on responsibilities, allowing students to develop their leadership skills while contributing to the management and organization of events and activities. Each house organizes and participates in cultural and sports events, and hosts house-specific celebrations and assemblies, helping to strengthen unity within the house. Additionally, the houses engage in community service projects, encouraging students to contribute to social causes and environmental initiatives, fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Overall, the House System at LIS DEHRADUN enriches the school experience by instilling a sense of identity, promoting teamwork, and fostering healthy competition. It is an integral part of our holistic approach to student development.
